- We are approved by local authorities to carry
out contract works for them and we have built relations with local arboriculture
officers. As a result we are able to deal with the council’s for
you
- Every site we work on is issued with a site-specific
method statement and Risk assessment, which are completed by the foreman
prior to commencing work. All foremen have had in depth training and
all other staff are familiar through training in the use of these forms.
- The sites we work on are left in a neat and
tidy condition in which they where found.
- All our crews are equipped with modern equipment
that is maintained to the highest standard. We adhere to a strict maintenance
program for all our plant.
All our crews are made up of
- Foreman – All the Foreman
have been trained at Merristwood Europe’s premier Arboriculture
College, and hold a City and Guilds certificate in Tree Surgery for
Craftsmen which includes the National Proficiency Test Council chainsaw
use qualifications and aerial rescue. They are also qualified in safety
at street works and road works (Chapter 8).
- Climber – Our climbers
hold National Proficiency Test Council chainsaw use qualifications both
on the ground, in a tree and aerial rescue. They are experienced in
tree surgery. The next stage of development is to attend Merristwood
to get City and Guilds certificate in Tree Surgery for Craftsmen before
finally progressing to Foreman
- Trainee - The trainees are
all under the supervision of both the foreman and climbers. They have
undergone rigorous internal training, working towards becoming climbers
and are qualified in the basic National Proficiency Test Council chainsaw
use and aerial rescue
